ABOUT
This site is aimed at creating a comprehensive archive of brass banding in Ireland from 1850 onwards. The initial part of the research has been focussed on understanding the scope and scale of the movement in Ireland during this time, documenting the history of bands in Ireland, gathering photographs, stories, video and audio recordings, and documenting the stories of living musicians who are part of the banding movement in Ireland. Researching extinct bands in Belfast is a current focus of the research.
